Dr. Cheng is a board-eligible pediatric surgeon who provides care in all aspects of pediatric surgery. Her interest in pediatric surgery began when she had heart surgery as a child. She now strives to provide compassionate and complete care for all of her patients. She completed her general surgery training at the University of California San Francisco and a research fellowship in pediatric surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital before coming to Texas Children’s Hospital for pediatric surgery fellowship. After completing her training, Dr. Cheng was thrilled to join the fantastic team of pediatric surgeons at Texas Children’s Hospital. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and in the surgical treatment and management of complex conditions of the colon and rectum, including bowel management.

Dr. Cheng has a strong interest in Hirschsprung disease and is currently working to improve the understanding and management of this disease.
