Motor disability or problems can be associated with injury or disorders of the brain, spinal cord, muscles, nerves. These may be acquired conditions or related to a genetic cause.

Rehabilitation management can include use of medications, including botulinum toxin(Botox and others) injections for tight muscles, prescriptions for bracing and adaptive equipment, home stretching and exercise programs, and prescriptions for speech, physical, occupational therapy, including physical modalities.
